We are now accepting submissions for
the second annual EtheraCon People's Choice Art Show
January 13-16, 2006.
Guidelines for submissions are as follows:
- All works must be recent, created in the past three years.
- Works can be in any medium: oil, acrylic, wood, fabric, photography,
etc.
- All two dimensional work must be framed and ready to hang.
- Artwork can be of any subject: landscape, fantasy, abstract, etc.
- All work must be original and handmade by the artist. No kits
Categories:
- Two dimensional: painting, collage, wall hangings, photography, etc.
- Three dimensional: sculpture, pottery, carving, jewelry, etc.
All Entries:
- The EtheraCon People's Choice Art Show is open to current registrants of EtheraCon.
- Entrants are allowed to enter up to a total of three pieces of artwork. Artists may have entries in both categories. There is an entry fee of $3.00 per piece.
- Tables for display surface will be provided.
- Deadline for submissions is November 1, 2005. Submissions postmarked
after this date will not be considered for the show.
- Artwork must be delivered to the Poughkeepsie Best Western by 5:00
pm on January 13 and cannot be removed until 12:00pm on January 16 unless
previous arrangements have been made.
- Artists must provide their own display materials; easels, table easels, etc.
- Artists will be responsible for any sales transaction of their work.
- There is a 10% commission on the sale of artwork from the show, to be paid to T&D Enterprises prior to removal of the artwork.
- Artwork entred in the show does not need to be for sale.
- Artwork that has been sold will be marked with a sticker, and cannot be removed until the end of the show.
- Anyone found to be in violation of any of the above guidelines will not be invited back to next years art show.
Winners will be chosen by the public by anonymous ballots. There will be 1st and 2nd place winners in each category. The winners will be awarded prizes and have there artwork and information displayed on the website until the next years winners are chosen.
