Conference Policies

The most important thing you can bring to this conference is an OPEN MIND. The attendees will be bringing many different beliefs and opinions to ETHERACON. It is imperative that the differences among us are respected by all. Please do not try to convert anyone to your belief, or imply that yours is the best or the only.

All programs and program participants are subject to change without notice. For program changes, please check with the "Program Changes" signboard located near registration. Due to the nature of certain program items such as workings and meditations, attendees may not be admitted after the doors are closed.

In matters of attire, exercise common sense and discretion (after all this is January and we share common space with other guests). Garb must conform to health and safety regulations, as well as courteous good taste. When in doubt, check with the Con Committee.

Except for scheduled programming, there is to be NO ritual, guided meditation, circle, or other type of magical or religious activity in ANY of the programming areas without permission of the ETHERACON Committee. Spontaneity is welcome, just let us know what is happening.

All non-scheduled programming held in programming areas must be open to all conference attendees. Those wishing to exclusive activities will have to hold them in their hotel rooms. Violators will be expelled from the conference.

Program areas are NON SMOKING areas.

The solicitation or performance of readings, divinations, and any other forms of prognostication or fortune telling for remuneration is not permitted, as this conference is a shared experience, not a psychic fair.

Badges must be worn to enter all programming. There will be no exceptions.

The official policy of ETHERACON is that weapons display is not a necessary part of attire. Members are to conform to Federal, State, and local laws regarding the carrying of weapons. The Con Committee urges wisdom and discretion in the transportation and use of swords and athames for ritual purposes.

All conference sales are to be conducted in either the Dealer's Room or the Art Room.

Recording of any kind (audio, video, photos) can not be done without the permission of any and all people who will be in the recording or photo. No recording equipment of any kind will be permitted in the Art Room.

In regard to "good taste, nudity, pornography", or any other judgment call, the decision of the ETHERACON Committee is final. Appeals can be filed with the deity of your choice.

Remember! We are here to honor, accept, and learn from each other. Good manners are essential to this process. Any person who cannot be reasonable will be asked to leave this conference.
